Under the Crescent Moon

Zwinzler Games's submission for the OST Composing Jam 2. The theme for this jam is "Panspermia" - which is the hypothesis that life exists throughout the universe - and this image:

We created this OST to go along with a mystery adventure game, in which a deer experiences the secrets and dangers of the night. 

1. Sunset by the River - As the sun sets by the river, the sounds of the forest can be heard in the background as a deer relaxes and watches its reflection in the waves. This serves as the track for the main menu of the game.

2. Moon Dance - The deer goes off to explore the forest, with only the moonlight to guide him. This track is the main exploration music of the game, which can be looped.

3. At The Cabin - The deer comes across a cabin in the middle of the forest with the light on instead. Inside, he meets a friendly stranger. This track serves as a period of relaxation and fun before the intensity of the game continues.

4. Night Chaser - After seeing a shadow in the nearby window, the deer goes on a chase through the forest to catch the intruder into his homeland. This track is based off of track 2 (Moon Dance) and can be used to intermix the chase scene into the player's exploration of the forest.

5. Meteor Shower - The deer is surprised by a meteor shower, with bright stars plummeting to the ground. This track is the same tempo as Night Chaser (track 4) and can seamlessly transition out of the chase sequence.

6. Waning Crescent - The chase ends with an encounter from a mysterious force who seems to hold a powerful secret about the deer's homeland. This track is meant to accompany a cutscene, where the deer sits in wonder at his discovery.

7. Rising Stars - The deer reunites with his old friend from the cabin, who gives him a surprising gift. This track has similar instrumentation to all the previous tracks, and is played when the the deer completes the journey.

8. Quiet Dreamers - The deer gazes off into the night sky, and the credits roll. This track is meant to be future-facing, helping the player feel both accomplished and inspired after their journey through the game is complete.
